Bridal Shower

Recently, I was contacted by this MOB to design an invitation for her daughter's upcoming bridal showers in Boston and New York. When we spoke she mentioned there was photo she wanted to use...of course I design around photos all the time. The minute I saw the photo I knew immediately NOTHING I design could hold a candle to this image...a photo of the bride rocking a wedding dress at age 8...just PRICELESS! To all the young mothers out there back up your photos because some day they may come handy. I LOVE this design and it truly has nothing to with my design abilities, this one is ALL about the photo!

Destination ARUBA

If you want to plan a destination wedding to Aruba I highly suggest the Flamingo Beach at the Renaissance Aruba Resort. Sabrina and Jesse are the third couple I have designed invitations for that had this very spot as their venue.

Sabrina and Jesse were so relaxed about their wedding and the nicest couple to work with. We began the invitation process while they still lived in Massachusetts but not just 2 weeks later they had already settled into their new home in New Jersey. Nothing like moving, planning a destination wedding, starting new jobs ALL while awaiting the results from the Bar Exam Jesse had just finished taking...SERIOUSLY this couple was cool as a cucumber!

If you received their invitation you may have first thought it was plain as the entire exterior was just a pretty textured white but once you opened inside is where the surprise is revealed. I love reversing pattern card stocks because it always adds an extra bit of excitement.

My most favorite item I designed for the couple was their welcome card for their acted as a door hanger for the hotel room but also as the itinerary of the days events. Even the bridal party received their own customized itineraries so the girls knew when they were needed for hair and make-up and the guys knew when it was time for dressing and pictures...BRILLIANT!

I love how everything turned out but was over the moon when I received a post card today from Sabrina and Jesse thanking me for my part in their special day but also sharing the web address to view the a clip from their day...all I can say is AMAZING wait until you see the REAL flamingos walking in the background...there is even a quick shot of their wedding program that was actually a fan for guest to use. CLICK HERE to view, truly a must see that made my day!

Happy New Year

Yes, it's been two months since my last blog, to say I am grossly behind is an understatement but rest assure it's my goal for 2014 to keep up with my blogging.

To kick off the 2014 year I wanted to share some of my holiday cards from 2013. I design each client's card based on the photo and what their vision is. My favorite part about creating holiday cards are my repeat clients, I love seeing how their children or grandchildren have grown over the year.

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy New Year...ENJOY!
